Armagh Estates announces permanent closure following death of owner – Armagh I
An estate agency in Armagh has announced its permanent closure following the recent sudden death of its landlord.
Maison Real Estate, on Abbey Street, will close for the last time tomorrow (April 1) following the death of its founder Ciaran McGurgan earlier this month.
Mr McGurgan, who has been described as a man of “big heart and boundless generosity” who loved life, opened the business in 2014.
Announcing the closure on social media, Maison Real Estate, posted: “Due to the unexpected bereavement of Mr Ciaran McGurgan, Maison Real Estate Armagh will sadly close after eight years on Friday 1st April 2022.
“We would like to thank customers, friends and neighbors for their incredible support over the past few weeks and for all the customer loyalty over the years.
“Staff have been working tirelessly over the past week to try to resolve and secure sales and lettings within the Armagh branch and we wish everyone the best in their dealings.”
The Dungannon branch of Maison Real Estate, which is independently owned and operated by Jeremy Baird, is unaffected and will continue to trade.
The statement continued: “With respect to the family, we will be retiring the Maison Real Estate name, and Jeremy will continue under a new brand of Baird Real Estate.
“We would like to thank you for your understanding during this very difficult time.”
