1. Adopt shabby chic … but not as you know it
Before you start freaking out that you’re going to have to distress all of your furniture, hang up the cliché signage and buy anything on eBay that looks vaguely “French” (even if it turns out it was actually just from The Range last year), the shabby chic trend got a major overhaul, and we’re here for it. There are less heavy carvings and poorly painted furniture, and overall this new trend is less shabby and more chic, but there is an essence of that style there.

2. Mix modern and vintage in a bathroom
The experts of victoria lead noted that this modern vintage mix is gaining popularity as people move away from this very sleek and contemporary monochrome look that has been in fashion for decades. This look is more eclectic, the closer the bathroom meets … the living room. Hang ornate mirrors, add vintage chairs, choose bright colors! We love the mix of this contemporary freestanding tub with the more vintage elements of the room.

Sure, the spaces are nostalgic but they don’t feel old-fashioned or stuffy.
6. Create a space filled with natural textures
We are finding that texture is increasingly used to add interest to rooms rather than color. We love the look of a lot of layered textures, but all of them the same or very similar color. In living rooms and bedrooms, pillows and blankets are an obvious way to do this, but in other rooms try to bring in textures with plant prints and neatly organized knickknacks.

Now it’s back and you’ll see it everywhere, both in interiors and in fashion, so get ahead of the crowds and pack your buckle-up shopping early.

Neons were a big trend on Pinterest towards the end of 2020, and we personally love the vibe. You could do it all with the famous Tik Tok color changing LED light strips or keep it subtle with tasteful neon lettering.
16. More relaxed rooms
This trend is 100% due to the fact that we all spent more time at home in 2020 – interiors by 2021 are much less formal and more relaxed. While in recent years we’ve all been focused on that Mid-Century look, clean lines, very sculptural pieces, and while that vibe is never out of date, there has been a shift towards a more room. comfortable. No crisp lines, lots of layers and textures, and less formal layout for rooms too.

In the Made.com Color Trend ReportColor expert Tash Bradley said: “Green represents health, happiness and nature, so just about everything we wanted this year. Plus, it’s extremely versatile – it can be used as an almost neutral background color or a bold style statement. Either way, greens will be everywhere next year, replacing gray as a chic all-rounder. I have a feeling that thanks to its calming nature, it will go on many bedroom walls.
